I love what I do supporting people as individuals, couples, or part of a group. I have been in practice for over 35 years and I know from my clients feedback that I have made a significant difference. I run four active and very gratifying men's groups a week, provide individual and couples therapy and believe I am an excellent translator of the woman to the man and vice versa. I provide EMDR Therapy for trauma. I also run Vision Quests for spiritual growth and practice. I believe in what I call "Action and Commitment Therapy". It's important to talk and share your story with a therapist who is an active listener but for growth and change to occur there needs to be a Commitment and Action. Everyone's pace is different and that is to be respected but talk alone is not enough. I also strongly believe in having a sense of humor otherwise life's journey is too hard. We will have a few laughs along the way otherwise it's not fun. The journey of healing, though difficult at times, must include a sense of humor and it most certainly assists the healing process. I know as a Vietnam Vet and as a State Military Behavioral Health Officer of personal challenges and I wouldn't be where I am without my own. I have learned a great deal from my military experiences as well as my time as a counselor and probation officer in the juvenile justice system. I honor and respect what it takes to heal and change which includes casting aside the shame that has caused so so many addictions. Fees: Individual therapy is $200 per therapy hour, Couples $250, Group Therapy $90 per week (2 hours) minimum commitment is five weeks. The average stay in group is 3 years due to the men getting so much out of the experience.
